happy birthday mom- 53 years old

My mom's b-day is Feb. 12, so each year we make some kind of treat (cookies. cake) to celebrate and remind us of her.  We made a cake last week and let the kids blow out the candles after we sang.  It was nice to celebrate with the kids and speak of her.  We tell the kids about her and they ask questions about her.  It's good to pass along those memories to the next generation.

She's been gone almost 4 years, in may, and lots has happened since then.  I know she watches over me and is there by me at times.  We miss her, but know how sweet that reunion will be if we but stay strong in the gospel and remember our savior and his sacrifice for us.  love you mom!

This was right after stephanie was born (1987).  A month later is when they found her brain tumor and changed our family forever.  At first she was only given a few years to live, but we were grateful to have her for 20 years.  That in itself was a miracle.  Count my blessings.
