This past weekend before we headed down to Zions national park we stopped off at the zoo. We haven't done it for a few years so we decided the kids would like it. We headed down and were delighted to see the baby elephant Zurie. It was so cute to watch her and her mom play and interact. The kids were in awe of these big animals.

At the end we went in to see the gorillas. They were out eating and i couldn't believe how big one of them was. I would say close to the size of the bronze monkey we are standing next to. He was huge! We had a good time and it was even a nice day. The clouds rolled in and gave us some shade and made it cooler. It rained a little, which made it humid, but at least we didn't fry in the sun:)
