Hey, i've now been the primary chorister for about 2months now and am looking for some fun games and activities from all of you. If you know of anything please let me know. That would be much appreciated:)
So far it's gone pretty well, but we are now getting into learning the new songs for this year and new ideas would be great! Thanks all:)

Well when we were the nursery leaders we also were in charge of the music time. To help the children learn the words to I'm a Child of God I would play the cd and had printed pictures and let the children hold up a picture during the appropriate time.
i am teaching my primary 'i am a child of god' in sign language. i'm just doing the chorus so that they only have to learn that and they get to do it 3 times for all the verses. they all love to do it and it makes it more fun for the bigger kids who have known 'i am a child of god' forever! just an idea :)
we just did something fun yesterday in primary--the chorister had made an apron with 12 pockets on it. she just used scraps of fabric so each pocket was different. in each was a little piece of candy and some of the pieces of candy had a song taped to them. the kids had to sing really well and remember the words to the new songs to be chosen to pick a pocket. they went crazy for it and they sang so well!!
hey Vern! I saw that you're the primary chorister and the lady in my ward that does it is AWESOME!! I am always awe struck by her and her fun ideas! The kids really get a kick out of it too! Anyway one of her most recent ones is she wrapped up a cubed box and she put different pictures each side... Like one side said "eyes closed" and one said "standing up," "girls only," "boys only," "teachers," "balancing on one foot" etc. then she had the kids come roll the "dice" and whatever it landed on that's what we had to do while singing the song we learned. The kids LOVED it! By the way thanks for your comments and support on my blog. Family is the thing that gets you through so thank you!
