out of town unexpectedly

Well, friday we got a call from aaron's family saying that his grandma, whose 80, had fallen and was in the hospital. She passed away fri. morning and we were trying to figure out how to get down to utah to go to the funeral. The freeway was closed in parts of idaho and montana, so we decided that this would be a good time to fly. Thanks to aaron's dad, jeff, we were able to come and spend this week with the family. About 10am friday we booked our plane tickets and had about 1.5 hrs. to get everything packed. We were running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get everything together. It was crazy to say the least! However, we got everything together and with the help of friends got to the airport on time (thanks ari and delphia):)

Today we got up and there is about a foot of snow that had fallen overnight and church was canceled. This makes the 2nd week in a row that this has happened. It's nice to be with family and spend time with everyone. It was totally unexpected that this happened, but being together makes things a little better. How grateful we are to have the gospel in our lives and to know of the plan that our heavenly father has for us. What would we do without it?

So sorry to hear about Aaron's grandma!! It's hard being away from family when stuff like that happens, but I'm so glad you guys were able to get there. Enjoy the snow! Emily's jealous. She's wishing she was in UT this year to play in it.
