So it has become Benson family tradition to do summer fires outside. We roast hot dogs and make smores and just sit around and have a good time talking. Last night was no exception. Everyone was home and we got our supplies out and headed outside to cook. We had a good time and some even decided to have a contest to see who could jump over the fire. Not the smartest idea, but we had a good laugh. I think Rachel won:)
This is the swingset Grandpa Benson got last summer and the kids totally love it. Kaylee and Bryce are both swing fanatics and can't get enough of it.
Rachel and Ryan both made it over the fire safely:) They must be crazy because they're twins (good sibling rivalry:)

It looks like you're having so much fun here and I think we should be having fun with you too. We may be in Logan this weekend so we should... have fun!
we love fires, too when we're not camping! cute pictures. i don't know what it is about being outside in the dark with a fire, but it makes you do crazy things...i am glad no one got hurt jumping over it! and i've been trying to leave comments on the other posts--especially bryce's haircut! those pictures are so cute! that will be the cutest scrapbook page :)

OH don't let my mom know they were jumping over the fire, she has issues with fires now. But I'm sure it was entertaining, especially with the Benson's!
The hike was up Cherry Creek in Cove. There is a trail that takes about two hours to get to the top and there is a little waterfall/spring thing at the top. Justin's family hikes up it every year on the 4th of July, it's a fun tradition!

That's awesome you guys already found a couple places. Are they in Logan?? Good luck next week. Sounds like Aaron is doing good with the new job. I'm doing good and no i don't have a job yet, i was hoping to still do hair but that hasn't worked out. So i'm jobless it's not bad though, i'm just use to workin everyday! You still like being in Utah?

Fire jumping sounds scarey. I had my brother-in-law trying to jump over some fireworks and it about gave me a heart attack! But the smores sound very yummy! I love summer!
Sounds like a lot of fun. Smores are so yummy! Little boys and dirt go hand in hand, it took having a second boy for me to get over the fact(at least try) that they will get dirty and there's not much you can do about it.
