I received this email from a friend stating that President elect Barrack Obama entends to sign this bill into law when president. The bill is the Freedom of Choice Act and basically it changes the law on abortion and allows for partial birth abortions and other changes.

FOCA Would Wipe Away Every Restriction on Abortion Nationwide

This would eradicate state and federal laws that the majority of Americans support, such as:

• Bans on Partial Birth Abortion
• Requirements that women be given information about the risks of getting an abortion
• Only licensed physicians can perform abortions
• Parents must be informed and give consent to their minor daughter's abortion

FOCA would erase these laws and prevent states from enacting similar protective measures in the future.

Please go to their website and sign the petition and let your voice be heard. This is exactly what America does not need. We need to protect the rights that we have now and also the rights of those innocent babies that are given no protection through the Freedom of Choice Act.
